Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryJENNIE MCLEOD (nee BUCHANAN) April 8, 1911 - April 8, 2004 It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of our mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, Jennie, on Thursday, April 8, 2004 at the age of 93 years. She will be remembered by her daughters and their families, Clara Bank (Adam), Fern Smorang (Carl), Betty Ann Graydon (Richard), Sandra McLeod and Gordiena McLeod Towns (Gregg) seven grandchildren, Leah, Jennifer, Barclay, Heather, Gordon, John Charles and Jessie; and great-granddaughter, Jenna. Jennie was predeceased by her husband William Gordon McLeod in 1985; her daughter Beryl Roque in 1981; and her eight brothers. Jennie was born in Plumas, MB. She and her family later moved to McCreary, MB, where she met and married Gordon McLeod. They moved to Winnipeg with their family in 1952 where she was a great support to her husband and family. Jennie was always kept busy with cooking, sewing, crafts, oil painting and gardening. She and Gordon enjoyed many trips to the west coast, California and Texas, where they visited family and friends. They spent many peaceful times in the summer months in the Whiteshell. Jennie always welcomed visitors to her home, who referred to it as "McLeods Motel". Throughout her life, Jennie put her faith in the Lord and was always thankful for her many blessings. In her final years, she experienced the limitations that come with age, but never lost her sense of humour. A memorial service will be held on Monday, April 12 at 3:00 p.m. in the Chapel at Calvary Place, 1325 Erin St. Many thanks to the staff of Calvary Place for their care and companionship in the past few years. In lieu of flowers, donations in Jennies memory may be made to Calvary Place or a charity of ones choice. WOJCIKS ALL BELIEFS & FAITHS FUNERAL CHAPEL & CREMATORIUM 897 - 4665
